Most of my photography is of weddings, but I do many other types of photographic work. Here are some vow renewal and family photos I took recently at the Makapuu Lookout. I used a full-frame Canon for a look closer to what film cameras produce. Remember film? Digital cameras can now produce images that are at least as detailed and sharp as images shot on film, but even now the image tends to look less three-dimensional than a film image, and the dynamic range (how much of a range of brightness can be captured without blowing out highlights or losing shadow detail) is rarely as good as it is with film. The Canon with its shallow depth of field and large sensor produces a substantially more film-like look compared to smaller cameras.
